• The 'Orlando' knit, influenced by Tilda Swinton’s celebrated 1992 film with Sally Potter. Knitted in navy with white slogans that makes reference to the chapter headings of the film 'Death, Love, Poetry, Politics, Society, Sex, Birth (which is itself influenced by Virginia Woolf’s novel of the same name) and includes a ruffle neck designed to subtly emulate a traditional 17th century ruff.

 

• HADES studio collaborated closely with Swinton at every step of the design and manufacturing process. This process culminated in a collective June visit to the HADES manufacturing factory in Scotland, where Swinton met with the craftspeople who create the knitted jumpers and scarves in this collection.

 

• The ‘Orlando’ knit has been handcrafted in Scotland by Sharon, Shirley, Finlay, Sandra, Moira, Allan and Kevin.
